Admissions in B.Sc Nursing through EAMCET – 2022 – 23

From now on, admission to B.Sc Nursing courses will be on the basis of EAMCET rank, said Higher Education Council Chairman Professor R. Limbadri. He said orders have also been issued in this regard. It has been revealed that this policy will be implemented from the 2022–23 academic year. Limbadri spoke to the media at the council office.

He said the Central Government had recently issued guidelines stating that admission to the Nursing course did not work with the National Eligibility Test (NEET) and that it was clear that admissions could be taken through various examinations at the discretion of the states. In this context, the state government has decided to fill the respective seats through EAMCET ranks. The chairman explained that so far admission in the four-year nursing course has been based on Inter (Bi.P.C) marks.

Last date for the applications (EAMCET) – May 28th
The Board of Higher Education has already issued the EAMCET notification. Applications will be accepted online until May 28. The notification said that M.P.C students should write to the Department of Engineering and those who have done Bi.P.C should write an EAMCET for admission in Agriculture and Medical courses. He said that all Bi.P.C students will have the same exam and after the ranks are announced they will have the opportunity to opt for the Nursing‌ course. EAMCET application deadline was May 28 and there was no need to extend the deadline. Explained that the respective colleges will start the admission process after the ranks are announced.

Total seats in Nursing – 5,300
There are 81 nursing colleges across the state. Of these, 9 are government colleges and 81 are private colleges. The council said there were a total of 5,300, including 680 seats in government colleges and 4,620 seats in private colleges. About 70 per cent of seats in private engineering colleges are filled under the convenor quota. About 60 per cent of the seats in private colleges are in nursing courses. 40% will be filled under the Management quota. Limbadri said the quota for the economically backward sections and all other reservations would be implemented as per the rules and regulations and the relevant provisions were being considered.

TSPSC Group – I Notification Released for 503 Vacancies

TSPSC has good news for the unemployed who have been waiting for Group-1 notification‌ for the past few years. The notification was released on Tuesday for 503 posts. The group – 1 exam will be conducted for a total of 900 marks.

With the recent removal of interviews and the issuance of GO by the government, the examination will be conducted in two phases only, Prelims and Mains. Prelims qualifying paper only. The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the Mains. Eligible candidates should apply online. The Group‌ – 1 examination (interview goes 100 marks) for 900 marks, up from the previous total of 1,000 marks.
