UPSC has recently published advertisement for Indian Economic Service jobs. Those who are selected for these will get good salary as well as good status from the beginning. Indian Economic Service (IES‌) – Total vacancies: 24

The Indian Economic Service (IES) is a test that can be used to work in the highest ranks of the Central Financial Services. Candidates can start their careers as Junior Time Scale Officers and gradually reach the top positions.

Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern: The exam consists of two sections. Six papers should be written in Part-1. One thousand marks were allotted for these. General English and General Studies are conducted at the rate of one hundred marks per paper. Including General, Economics, Papers 1, 2, 3; Indian Economics will be a paper. 200 marks are allotted for each paper. Each paper takes 3 hours. The question papers will be in English only. Also the answers should be written in the same language.

Those who qualify in Part-1 will attend the Part-2 interview. 200 marks are allotted for this section. Final appointments will be made on the basis of merit and reservation shown by the candidate for a total of 1200 marks.

Eligibility: Candidates who have completed PG courses in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics / Economics / any of these and are currently in final year course can apply.

Age: Must be between 21 and 30 years old by August 1, 2022. I.e. before August 2, 1922; Those born after August 1, 2001 are ineligible.

UPSC – Indian Statistical Service Positions Notification

Union Public Service Commission has announced recruitment notification to fill up Indian Statistical Service positions. Graduates / Post‌ Graduates can apply in the specified sections. Final appointments will be made based on the talent shown in the test and interview.

ISS – Total vacancies: 29

Those selected for the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) will begin their careers with the rank of Junior Time Scale Officer. They have duties anywhere in the National Statistical, Central Statistical and National Sample offices. Continue to be a Class-1 Officer in Group-A. In the future, they will be able to hold senior and chief officer positions.

Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern : Duration of each paper is 2 hours. Statistics 3, 4 papers are descriptive. Duration for each paper is 3 hours. 200 marks for each Statistics paper (1, 2, 3, 4). Objective questions at the rate of 80 per paper in Statistics ‌ 1, 2. That is two and a half marks for each question. Half of the questions in Descriptive 3, 4 papers are in the form of short answers and small questions. The other half comes with Long Answer and Comprehension Problem questions. Question papers are in English. Also the answers have to be written in the same language. Those who qualify in Part-1 will attend the Part-2 interview. 200 marks are allotted for this section. Final appointments will be made with the marks obtained in the examination and interview.
