The online application process for NEET – 2 examination will commence from 26th May 2016. NEET 2 is an all India level entrance examination for admission into MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2016-17. The NEET – 2 exam will be held on 24th July 2016.

Candidates can submit NEET 2 online applications through www.aipmt.nic.in . Candidates those applied and appeared for NEET 1 (AIPMT) also can apply for NEET – 2. Such candidates have to cancel the NEET 1 scores and should submit an affidavit to that extent.

The NEET has been introduced in the wake of Supreme Court orders to have an all India level single entrance examination for admission into MBBS and BDS courses from this academic year itself. The Central Government has brought an ordinance to exempt states from the NEET considering variations in syllabus and preparedness of the students.

The states have been exempted from NEET 2 examination for this year. Private colleges can fill the MBBS and BDS seats through state level entrance exams. The convener quota seats will be filled through NEET exam only.

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) has issued admission notification 2016-17 for BS – MS Dual Degree Program. The IISERs are located at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati and functioning as autonomous institutions under MHRD, Govt. of India.

BS – MS is a five year full time Dual Degree course for 10+2 passed in candidates in science streams. The admissions will be based on specific criteria to be followed by the institutes.

KVPY scholars who got admitted to IISERs will get a fellowship as per KVPY norms. In addition a limited number of INSPIRE scholarships of Rs. 5000/- per month will be available for candidates admitted through JEE Advanced and SCB channels.

Candidates with JEE Advanced scores, Toppers from state and central boards and KVPY scholars can apply as per the schedule to be announced by IISER soon. The details also will be uploaded on the IISER website.
