CSIO Diploma and Certificate Courses in CAD, CAM and Mechatronics

CSIR – Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO) Chandigarh has issued notification for admission into various short term programmes for the academic year 2018-19. Details of programmes including qualifications, age, seats and commencement of programme are given below:

1) One year post graduate diploma in CAD / CAM:

Number of seats: 10
Eligibility: BE / B.Tech in mechanical / production / manufactuing / industrial engineering / manufacturing / automobile engineering etc.

2) One year PG Diploma in Mechatronics:

Number of seats: 10
Eligibility: BE / B.Tech in Mechatronics / Electronics/ Instrumentation / Electrical / Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering etc.

3) Six Months Advanced Certificate in CAD / CAM:

Number of seats: 15
Eligibility: Three years regular diploma in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering / Manudacturing Engineering / Automobile Engineering etc.

4) Six Months Advanced Certificate in Mechatronics:

Number of seats: 15
Eligibility : Three years regular diploma in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Manudacturing Engineering / Electrical / Electronics/ Instrumentation / Mechatronics Engineering etc.

Age: For all programmes, age should be maximum 30 years as on 1 August 2018. The programme will commence from 20 August 2018. Selection of the candidates for the above courses will be through merit in the qualifying exam and interviews.

JEE Mains and Advanced 2019 Online Exam Dates Announced

Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) dates for 2019 have been released by the central authorities. National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JEE Main exam twice in a year, as per the decision of the MHRD, Government of India. JEE Advanced will be conducted by IITs. Detailed schedules for the first phase of the exam in 2019 have come out.

JEE (Main) in January 2019:

Application process: 01 September 2018 to 30 September 2018
Dates of examination: Between 06 January 2019 to 20 January 2019
Declaration of results: First week of Feb 2019

JEE Advanced in April 2019:

Application process: Second week of Feb 2019
Dates of examination: Between 07 April 2019 to 21 April 2019
Declaration of results: First week of May 2019

Qualifications:

Both the tests will be conducted online. There would not be any change in the syllabus for the examination, question formats, language and fees.

Candidates applying for JEE Main must have appeared and qualified in class 12th examination in 2016 or 2017 or should appear in the class 12 examination in 2018. JEE Main exam is also considered for shortlisting the candidates for JEE Advanced exam.

JEE Main Examination Scheme and Pattern:

Paper 1 (BE/B. Tech): It will be in online / offline modes (pen and paper and computer based exams)
Paper 2 (B. Arch/B. Planning): Only pen and paper mode exam.
