NCERT International Diploma in Guidance and Counseling 2012

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi has announced notification for admission into International Diploma Course in Guidance and Counseling for the year 2012. The course is specially designed for the candidates with interest in guidance and counseling and working in the field of education, teaching and social work. Duration of the course is one year. The programme will be administered in distance and online and face-to-face modes and admissions are open to candidates from India, other SAARC and Afro-Asian countries. Candidates from different regions of India will be admitted on regional basis at DEPFE, NIE, New Delhi and Regional Institutes of Education.

Eligibility requirements: Applicants should have any one of the following qualifications: They should be In-service teachers or graduates with teaching degree. OR should be ‘presently not working’ and have graduation with teaching degree and at least two years of teaching or related experience. Candidates with Post Graduation in psychology / education / social work / child development / special education are also eligible to apply. Preference will be given to those candidates with at least one year of teaching or related experience.

Number of seats: Maximum 50 per study centre. Distribution of seats will be as per the rules of the Govt. CCMB Hyderabad Ph.D. Admissions 2011-2012

Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad is inviting applications for admission into Ph.D. Programme for the year 2011-12. CCMB offers highly qualitative research facilities in the areas of modern biology leading to a Ph.D. Degree. The projects offered in CCMB for Ph.D. would be in the broad research areas of Cell Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, Plant Molecular Biology, Nano-biology, Protein Structure and Function, Biology of Infection, Epigenetics, Biology of Macromolecules, Chromatin Biology and Bioinformatics. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure:

Areas of research: Cell Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Nanobiology, Plant Molecular Biology, Protein Structure and Function, Developmental Biology, Biology of Macromolecules, Biology of Infection, Epigenetics and Chromatin Biology and Bioinformatics. Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have a Master’s degree in any branch of science OR a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Medicine or Pharmacy. They also need a valid National level fellowship (JRF / SRF of various funding agencies such as CSIR, DBT, UGC, ICMR, etc.), DST-INSPIRE or any other equivalent fellowship. Candidates qualified in GATE / GPAT examination with a minimum of 85 percentile are also eligible to apply. Candidates with lectureship in CSIR-UGC (NET) and other exams need not apply. Age should be below 28 years as on 10th December 2011. Relaxations apply as per rules.

List of short listed candidates for written test will be displayed on the website on 18th December 2011. Selection will be based on the performance in Written Test and Interview. Written Test will be held at CCMB, Hyderabad. Those qualified in Interview have to appear for interview on 19th January 2012 and 20th January 2012.
