AIIMS – MBBS Entrance Test Schedule 2019 – Cut Offs, Seats, Previous Papers and Preparation Tips

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the schedule for AIIMS – MBBS Entrance Test 2019. Admission into MBBS course in all AIIMS will be based on the ranks in AIIMS Entrance Test. The exam is scheduled to be held on 25th and 26th May 2019 across the country. Following are details of AIIMS cut offs, seats in all AIIMS institutions, previous question papers etc.

AIIMS Cut Off Marks

Schedule for MD, MS and M.Ch courses:

AIIMS has also announced PG admissions schedule for the academic year 2019-20. The schedule has been released in much advance to facilitate the candidates good preparation for the exam.

The entrance exam for PG admissions in MD / MS / M.Ch courses, along with DM and MDS courses will be conducted on 5 May 2019. Candidates those applying for the MSc program will have to appear for the exam on 29 June 2019.

Exam for Biotechnology:

AIIMS will conduct separate exam for Masters in Biotechnology course on 29 June 2019. The results of the entrance test will be declared on 5 July 2019.

Tentative Calendar:

The AIIMS released annual exam calendar every year. This is a tentative calendar and there will be changes in the exam dates if necessary.

MBBS Seats in AIIMS:

There are about 807 MBBS seats in 9 AIIMS institutions across the country. In 2018 examination, 7617 candidates have passed the MBBS entrance test. The institute wise break up of seats is as follows:

AIIMS Delhi: 107 seats
AIIMS Bhopal: 100 seats
AIIMS Bhubaneshwar: 100 seats
AIIMS Joshpur: 100 seats
AIIM Patna: 100 seats
AIIMS Raipur: 100 seats
AIIMS Rishikesh: 100 seats
AIIMS Nagpur: 50 seats
AIIMS Guntur / Mangalagiri: 50 seats

MBBS Cut Offs in AIIMS – 2018

Following are the cut off marks for various categories for MBBS course in AIIMS.
Unreserved Category: 98.83
OBC Category: 97
ST/ST category candidates: 93.65

It has to be noted that four students have scored 100 percentile in AIIMS Entrance Exam for MBBS course admissions in 2018. AIIMS Previous papers / model papers can be obtained from the institute website at www.aiimsexams.org .

Exam Date: CAT 2018 will be held on 25th November 2018. It will be a computer based test to be held in two sessions. The official CAT website is www.iimcat.ac.in

CAT 2018 Eligibility:

Candidates should have graduation in any discipline in order to appear for CAT 2018 examination. They also need other eligibility requirements as prescribed by IIMs.

Reservations and Fees:

IIMs follow reservation policy of Government of India. Details of seats reserved for various categories can be obtained from respective IIM websites. Candidates have to confirm their category while applying online for CAT 2018. No change in category will be entertained after CAT registration.

Registration Fee:

Rs. 950 for SC, ST and PWD categories
Rs. 1900 for all other candidates

Important Dates:

Registrations Open: 8th August 2018
Registration Closes: 19th September 2018
Admit Card Download: 24th October to 25th November 2018
CAT 2018 Test Date: 25th November 2018
Results: Second Week of January 2019

Important Information:

Candidates registering for CAT should have a valid email account and also a mobile phone number throughout the selection process. They should keep it active till the end of selection process as the official communication will be through these means.

Apart from IIMs, CAT scores are considered for MBA / PGDM admissions in various reputed public and private universities, colleges and institutions. There are several equally reputed Business School which consider CAT scores for admissions.
