Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST, Thiruvananthapuram has announced admission notification for the following undergraduate programmes for the academic year 2016-17.

Undergraduate Programmes:

1) B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering. Duration is 4 years and number of seats are 60.

2) B.Tech. in Avionics. Number of seats are 60 and duration is 4 years.

3) Dual Degree (B.Tech. and M.S./ M.Tech.): Duration is 5 years and number of seats are 20.

Eligibility: Candidates should have passed in the final examination of the 10+2 system Or Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.

Candidates should appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2016 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi to qualify themselves to appear for Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced)-2016 conducted by IITs and secure the minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE (Advanced)-2016.

Only candidates who have applied online through the online application will be considered. Online Registration commences on 8 June 2016 and closes on 24 June 2016.

National Power Training Institute (NPTI) has announced notification inviting applications for admission into Post Graduate Diploma Course (PGDC) in Thermal Power Plant Engineering for the academic year 2016-17.

Eligibility: Candidates should have passed in B.Tech/ BE or its equivalent in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics (EEE)/ Power Engineering. Total Seats are 630.

There is no age limit for pursuing PGDC in TPPE. Selection of the candidates will be based on merit in Common Entrance Test (CET) result followed by counseling at NPTI Nagpur.

Applications have to be filled online with online payment of prescribed registration fees of Rs.1500. Online registration with payment of registration fees is between 11 May 2016 and 10 June 2016.
