The Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced scholarship scheme to the candidates pursuing CA in the chapters in its chapters. These are educational scholarships aimed at providing financial help to the needy candidates.
The educational scholarship scheme will be introduced in all 36 chapters of ICAI. Candidates studying CA course in these chapters are eligible for these scholarships. The Chairman of the Southern India Regional Council of ICAI has announced these scholarships recently.
The SIRC will select at least 10 students from each ICAI chapter. The amount of the scholarship and modalities and conditions of the scheme are yet to be finalized. SIRC has also proposed to open a students reading room. There will be a library also in all chapters to help poor students preparing for CA exams.
