National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Calicut has issued notification for admission to Post Graduate Diploma courses in Software Technology, Information System Security and Net Technologies. Following are details of programmes and application procedure:

1) PG Diploma in Software Technology: Duration is six months. Number of seats: 20
2) PG Diploma in Information System Security: Duration is 6 months. Seats available are 40.
3) Advanced Course in Net Technologies: Duration is 3 months.

Eligibility: For all the above courses, applicants should have passed in BE / B.Tech / MCA / BCA / MBA (Systems) / B.Sc (IT / Computer Science / Electronics ) B.Com (Computer Science) / Diploma. IT professionals also can apply.

Interested candidates can apply online only through NIEIT website http://calicut.nielit.in/html/course/SW100.html . Last date for online registrations is 17th August 2012. For other programmes of the institute, you can apply till 31st August 2012.

Pearson Academic (PTE Academic) is conducting English Language Test for the candidates wishing to go abroad for higher education. Candidates who need an English test to study abroad can take this test. They can send the test scores to institutions within one week after the completion of the exam. PTE Academic is computer based English language test. This will focus on authentic academic tasks and content to help prove that the candidate is ready for academic success. The results of the test will be announced in 5 business days.
