UGC Releases New Guidelines for Declaration of NET Results

UGC has revised the criteria to be followed to announce the results of NET / SET from 2017. It has been decided by the UGC that only 6 percent of the appearing candidates should be declared qualified for eligibility for assistant professors.

UGC new guidelines for NET

1) Candidates must have appeared in all the three papers and secured at least 40 percent aggregate for General Candidates and 35 percent aggregate in all the three papers taken together for reserved candidates.

2) A minimum of 27 percent, 15 percent, 7.5 percent and 3 percent slots are reserved for OBC, SC, ST and PWD candidates respectively.

3) For example, if 600000 candidates appeared for NET / SET, 36000 candidates will be declared qualified for eligibility of assistant professors. The category wise slots in this case will 9720 OBC, 5400 SCs, 2700 STs, 1080 PWD candidates and 17100 General candidates.

UGC NET June 2013 Results and E-Certificate

University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced the results of NET June 2013 (National Eligibility Test) on 21st October 2013. The results can be accessed through www.ugc.ac.in or www.ugcnetonline.in .

About 7.3 lakhs candidates applied and 5.74 lakhs declared eligible to appear for UGC – NET June 2013 examination. Out of these, 27,402 candidates were qualified in Lectureship and 3,684 candidates qualified for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship).

UGC NET examination will be held in 78 subjects across the country. The notification for the December 2013 examination has already been released. Results can latest notification can be obtained from www.ugcnetonline.in . Candidates those qualified can download e-Certificate from the website during prescribed dates.

UGC gives a total 3200 fellowships per each examinations. Out of these 1520 are reserved for General Candidates, 864 for OBCs, 480 for SCs, 240 for STs and 96 fellowships reserved for PWD candidates.
