IISER Mohali Ph.D and Integrated MS – Ph.D Admissions 2012-13

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali has announced admission notification for Ph.D. and Integrated MS – PhD Program at IISER Mohali. The programme is offered in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for the academic session to be started from August 2012. This prestigious programme consists of course work as well as research work. Candidates who successfully complete the program will get an MS degree and a PhD degree. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure:

Eligibility: Applicant should have a Basic degree in Science/ B.Tech/ MBBS with a excellent academic record. They should have cleared any one of the following National Examinations:

1) General: IISc, Integrated PhD Entrance Test OR JAM of IIT’s OR any other entrance test for an MS / MSc program at a reputed institute or university.
2) Mathematics: NBHM M.Sc. fellowship or NBHM Ph.D. fellowship.
3) Physics: Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST).

For Ph.D programme, candidates should have Masters Degree in Science / B.Tech / MBBS / M.Tech along with any of the above test qualifications.

Students who hold a DST INSPIRE fellowship or a KVPY scholarship are also eligible for this course.
