PMRF – Prime Ministers Research Fellowship Scheme 2018 – Eligibility, Requirements, Selection and Application Procedure

Here is an excellent fellowship offer for Engineering graduates from MHRD, Government of India. The Government has launched Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) scheme from the year 2018. Under this scheme, candidates joined in IITs and IISC for Ph.D courses will be offered Rs. 70000 – 80000 fellowship for their research.

Scheme details:

The fellowship is offered for research in frontier areas of Science and Technology. Candidates selected for PMRF will be granted direct admission in IISc/ IIT for Ph.D course. Apart from the monthly fellowship, candidates will also get Rs. 2 lakh a year as research grant. This is an excellent opportunity to work in best labs and with best research guides of the top level institutions.

Eligibility Requirements:

Candidates should be B.Tech / BE graduates passed in last five years or in the final year of B.Tech / Integrated M.Tech / Integrated M.Sc in Science and Technology streams from IISc / IITs / NITs / IISERs / IIITs. They should have secured at least 8 CGPA.

Application Deadline:

1) Application portal opens from 24th February 2018 to 31st March 2018.
2) Shortlisting of candidates: 30th April 2018
3) Personal Interviews: May 2018 (at various IITs and IISc)
4) Final list of selected candidates: 1st June 2018.

Requirements / Enclosures:

Interested candidates need to apply online through PMRF website at pmrf.in . They should give a specific area of study in 100 words. Abstract of the project proposed should be mentioned in 1000 words and detailed abstract also should be uploaded.

Indian National Sciene Academy – Young Researcher Fellowship Programme 2017-18

INSA logo Indian National Sciene Academy, New Delhi has issued notification inviting applications for Indo – Japanese Project on Establishment of Young Researcher Fellowship Programme 2017-18. The project is supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

INSA invites applications from outstanding Indian scientists / researchers holding Ph.D and regular positions in Indian Government recognised Science and Technology institutions / universities.

The candidates from any field of natural sciences, engineering science, mathematics, statistics, health and multi disciplinary research in science and technology may apply. Candidates need to visit Japan for 2-6 months under Indo – Japanese Joint Project.
