National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Nagpur (Western Region) issued notification for admission to Post Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering for the year 2011-12 (12th Batch). Duration of the course is one year. NPTI is a specialised institute for education and training in Power Engineering and Management. NPTI is functioning under the aegis of Ministry of Power, Government of India. On-job training will be provided as part of the course. The course is designed for Diploma engineers to enhance their employability knowledge. Course will start from March 2011. Following are other details like eligibility and application procedure:

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have Three years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Control and Instrumentation Engineering or Equivalent with at least 60 percent marks. Selection of the candidates will be based on marks in Diploma only. There will be no entrance test. There are 65 seats in total and some seats are reserved for sponsored candidates. Applicants age should be below 27 years as on 15-12-2010. No age limit applies for sponsored candidates.
