  1. i am central government employee working in postal department, so can i get admission for my 5 yr child in malleshwaram kendriya vidyalaya.

i have heard people saying bank employees get priority over purely central government employee in admission process. how is it possible

    Reply
    • It depends on the transferability of the post and defense personnel get first preference. All other central Govt. employees will be generally considered as a single group. There may be exceptions in some cases of employees as said earlier.

    • You can apply if any vacancies are there in Class XI. If you are not from any preferred categories (Central / State Govt .Employee / Ex Servicemen etc.) of KV Guidelines, your chances may be bleak. Sometimes you may get chance if vacancies are more. So, dont get disappointed and apply and wait. Also try to present your case to the Principal of the School if possible.

    • Admissions for some categories will be open round the year under special circumstances. Otherwise you may need to apply according to the vacancy position and application deadlines. First, try to check the vacancy position in Class IX and then proceed with application process.

          • Your son should complete 5 years as on 31st March of the year for which admission is sought. In your case, it should be 31st March 2012. Age wise, he is eligible for Class I. You may not require transfer certificate for Class I admissions. Please check with the respective KV for any specific requirements. Some KVs may insist for that.
