VTU- Visvesvaraya Technological University Ph.D. Admissions 2011 – Part Time and Full Time Mode

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum (Karnataka) has announced notification for admission into Part Time and Full Time Ph. D. Programs in the disciplines of Engineering, Sciences, Business Administration, and M.Sc.(Engineering) By Research. Selection will be based on the performance in Technical Aptitude Test and Interviews. Following are details of programs, eligibility, application procedure, scheme of the Technical Aptitude Test (TAT) and recommended / useful books for the test:

Application Procedure: Interested candidates can download application forms from the University website . Filled in application forms should be submitted along with a DD for Rs. 500 drawn in favour of 'Finance Officer, VTU, Belgaum' along with all the required documents. Last date for the receipt of completed application forms is 16th August 2011. Address:

Following is the syllabus / Exam Pattern for Technical Aptitude Test (TAT): This is common for Civil Engineering Science / Computer Sciences / Electrical Engineering Science / Polymer Science / Textile / Silk Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Bio-Tech/ Mechanical Engineering Science / Architecture / Physics / Chemistry /Mathematics and M.Sc.(Engineering).

1) Part I: Mathematics Section: 30 questions
2) Part II: Discipline Oriented Section: 50 questions
3) Part III : Aptitude Section Reading Comprehension, Data Sufficiency and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning and Computer Awareness): 20 questions
