  1. Shruti Nayyar says:

I have a strong feeling, this Shiv Nadar University will create the sort of waves the Indian Education system has been hoping for and what we, throughout our academic life have cribbed about. The freedom to choose what we want to do, no matter how big or small it may be.
    Great going SNU.

  2. vikram singh says:

Hey I Have scored 90% marks in my cbse board examination..and this university is veru new and very few people are known to this…
So wat do u think how many will aply for snu..
And wat chances do i hae of admission int for engineering course

  3. Shruti Nayyar says:

    Hi Vikram,

The minimum marks required to apply for SNU is 70%. Acamedic record isn’t the only criteria for admission as the overall personality is judged during admission.
The SNU college of Engineering in Greater Noida is beginning with its 1st batch in August, but the University already has a very strong presence in its Chennai chapter.
Need not worry about the age of the university as Shiv Nadar and HCl are names to be reckoned with in the industry therefore getting world-class facilities, great faulty and final placements would not be an issue.
    Hope I could help.

and therefore we cant get a gov job after studying in this…..
    How many will apply ?
    Can i hav a chance with 9o%/?

    • admin says:

      Hi Vikram,
We are very much pre-occupied with recognitions and government jobs. There are number of good and highly reputed institutions in the country with out AICTE recognition. BITS, ISB, IIITs etc are some of these. So, don’t hesitate to try your luck. Shiv Nadar University may offer good training and placements as the institute is founded and supported by none other than Shiv Nadar.
We can not predict cut offs as this is the first SNUSAT.
      All the best!

  24. Akash Gupta says:

Shiv Nadar University is an illusion. The campus is not even 5% ready, faculty is only visiting, they won’t stay there to teach you, only see you once a month or so, and the resident faculty is not good at all. ( I am only talking about Science related courses)

The fees of SNU is incredibly high, and not worth the ROI from any perspective. My brother left SNU engineering program to pursue BBA. His dreams were shattered when he spent 2 months at campus. There is no movement at all, very few laborious students, no seniors, no outlets. Food quality is very pathetic, and canteen is almost non-existent.

There’s only a brand name of “Shiv Nadar” which they are cashing in. If you want a good job and promising career, I would strictly advise you to join some engineering college which has been around since few years and has any kind of placement history. All students of SNU do free internship at HCL, basically SNU is exploiting students for HCL company.

    My 2 cents.

Time is always is an important factor to set standards. There will be teething issues with any institution at the beginning. The placements history will tell the story more clearly. Lets wait and see for that.
