Osmania University Region PGCET (OUPGCET / OURPGCET) 2012-13 will be held in June 2012 for admission to various Post Graduate and Full Time PG Diploma Courses for the academic year 2012-13. Admission Counseling of Osmania University for these courses will be based on ranks in OUPGCET 2012. Osmania University, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh offer more than 50 PG Courses in the disciplines of Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences etc through its Campus, Constituent Colleges and affiliated colleges. There are more than 20000 seats available in OU region in various courses at PG level. Following is the tentative schedule of OUPGCET 2012-13:
The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh has initiated regional PGCETs from 2010-11 for various regions of the state. According to that, admissions will be held to following universities through OUPGCET for 2012-13:

Application Procedure: Candidates can obtain application forms from OU Press, Osmania University along with other participating universities of Entrance Test. Applications also available at OU autonomous colleges in Hyderabad, Koti Women’s College and Nizam College.

Osmania University is yet to release PGCET 2011 notification. Forms will be made available in University Press, OU along with other universities of the region. Applications may also be obtained by post in the prescribed manner.
What about B.Li.Sc. Course. Is it good? I have completed B.Sc. with Maths. Will I do this course?

Any Graduate can do B.Li.Sc. Course. The career scope for Library Science is very limited. There are better alternatives at PG level, if you are interested.

Yes, Osmania University is offering MCA through distance education mode also. You need to qualify in the ICET examination to be eligible for MCA in distance mode.

You need to qualify in the entrance test. Thats the only known way for admission in any university in AP. Try next year and get good rank. Try to join in Hyderabad Central University or any other national level institute. That will fetch a lot to your career.

Osmania has not released admission notification (OUPGCET 2012) till the date. You may need Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50 percent marks. There will be a written test for short listing the candidates.

PG with Civils, appears a bit innovative. No such courses are available in India at the moment. You can pursue PG in the subject you like to take for Civil Services.
