Both the modes are basically designed for working professionals. You can pursue Part - Time / External Ph.D. without losing your job. You will get more time to complete your ph.d. in part time mode than external mode.

    1. Whether School teachers are eligible for admission to Ph.D programme in science subjects in JNTU?
    2. Whether external mode pursued Ph.D will have same recognition as that of Full time completed degree interms of UGC new regulations 2009?
    3. What exactly the difference between external model and part timemode?

MCA candidates are not eligible for Ph.D. / M.Phil. in Engineering Subjects. And all the eligible subjects are from engineering and inter disciplinary studies.

      yellaiah, Congratulations on your success.
Check with the concerned department. Some universities will have two admission sessions (June and January). You can try for January session or need to wait for regular admission notification. Round the year admissions also possible for JRF candidates, if the university has such provisions. All the best!

You need to appear and qualify in the entrance exam conducted by respective Universities. Most of the times, it depends on the discretion of the departments of the University. The best thing is to contact the head of the department and express your interest.
