Indian Nursing Council-Ph.D. in Nursing Admissions 2010-11

Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi is inviting applications for Ph.D. in Nursing for 2010-11. The course is conducted in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The course will be conducted in part – time mode. National Consortium for Ph.D. in Nursing has started this course to promote doctoral education in Nursing. Selection to the programme will be made based on written test to be conducted in Delhi and Bangalore. There are separate applications for both the centers. You need to download the application of the respective center and send it to the concerned nodal center.

Entrance Examination will consist of 90 questions for 90 marks. Questions will be from these topics:
1. Nursing Education: 20
2. Nursing Administration: 20
3. Nursing research and statistics and Advanced concepts in nursing: 50

Apart from these, 5 marks will be given for those having M.Phil in Nursing and another 5 marks will be alloted for publications.

There are 6 study centres for this course. These are 1. College of Nursing, NIMHANS, Bangalore 2. R.A.K. College of Nursing, New Delhi 3. C.M.C. College of Nursing, Vellore 4. C.M.C. College of Nursing, Ludhiana 5. Govt. College of Nursing, Thiruvanthapuram 6. Govt. College of Nursing, Hyderabad. Pre Ph.D. examination will be conducted in all study centers.
