Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) has announced Admission Notification 2012-13 for MA, M.Tech, Ph.D and M.Tech – Ph.D. Dual Degree Programmes for the current academic year. Selection will be based on written examination and / or interview. Interested candidates can apply online only through IITG website at www.iitg.ernet.in . IIT Guwahati offer financial support for meritorious candidates. Dual Degree and Ph.D candidates will get fellowships based on their GATE / CSIR / INSPIRE qualifications.
1) M.A. in Development studies. Eligibility: Bachelors Degree in any discipline with minimum 50 percent marks.
2) M.Tech. and M.Des. Programme. Eligibility: B.Tech in the concerned branch with minimum 60 percent marks and valid GATE score.
3) Ph.D. Programme: Applicants should have Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology/ Medical Sciences/ Veterinary Sciences / Pharmacy OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Medical Sciences with at least 70 percent marks OR Bachelor’s degree from an IIT in the relevant branch.
4) MTech + PhD Dual Degree Programme in Computer Science and Engineering: Eligibility: B.E / B.Tech in any discipline other than CSE or IT or equivalent. This programme is not aimed at engineering graduates in computers or information technology related disciplines.
You can apply online using Online application form at IIT Guwahati website for all the programmes. Online application process starts at 19 March 2012 onwards and will be closed by 23rd April 2012. All the eligible candidates will get scholarships and fellowships offered by the institute. You can get these details under the section ‘Financial Support’ of the IIT G website.
