Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali has issued admission notification 2011 for the Ph.D. programme to be started from January 2012. The Ph.D. Programme is offered in the disciplines of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Earth and Environment Science. Candidates those interested in pursuing research in interdisciplinary areas are encouraged to apply. Following are details of eligibility, selection procedure and application procedure:
Eligibility Requirements: The applicants should have a Masters Degree in Science / B.Tech / MBBS / M.Tech with a good academic record and should have qualified in GATE / CSIR or UGC NET / JEST / NBHM – JRF / ICAR – JRF / ICMR – JRF / DBT JRF / DST – INSPIRE. Selected candidates will get a fellowship for four years from the date of joining the Ph.D. program. The amount of fellowship will be decided by the guidelines of MHRD guidelines. Admitted candidates will also be involved in professional activities such as seminars, workshops along with teaching programs of the institute.
Application Procedure: Interested candidates can apply online using online application facility available on the website at www.iisermohali.ac.in. Short listed candidates will be called for screening test / interview at IISER Mohali. Online application process will be opened from 17th October 2011.
