IIITs are known for their standards in training and research in technical education. Apart from IITs and NITs, these institutes have their own significance. Most of the IIITs conduct M.Tech admissions for Non GATE candidates along with GATE scores. GATE scores are not essential for these institutes. They conduct own entrance examinations for admission to M.Tech or MS or MS By Research. Candidates who have not secured decent score and ranks in GATE examination can opt for IIITs. Many of the IIITs are offering M.Tech without GATE scores. NITs also offer some seats under sponsor category. You can refer the websites of these institutes for detailed admission schedule. This is the right time to go through them and apply.

IIIT Delhi is the best one for you. It is not insisting on GATE or GRE scores. Moreover it is also offering scholarships. Check for the relevant post on IIIT Delhi – Computer Science course on this site. We have posted the info recently.

It appears that you did not qualify in GATE 2012. There are number of institutions offering M.Tech without GATE scores. The only difference is you will not get any scholarship without GATE qualification. Try for sponsored seats in NITs and IIITs. You can also try for NPTI courses in power engineering.

It appears that you did not qualify in GATE 2012. You can still join in M.Tech but you may not be eligible for any fellowship of Govt. Several private colleges admit students based on their own entrance tests or state level entrance exams for M.Tech admissions. Please check with the respective colleges for specific admission guidelines they follow.

Your GATE score may not be enough for admission in a top ranked college. But your choice of subject appears good and out of the box thinking. Very a few institutes may be available for this specialisation. You can also try in famous Film institutes for this type of courses.
