IGNOU OPENNET-II for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Admissions 2013

School of Health Sciences, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi has announced admission notification for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme to be commenced from 2013-14. The university will conduct OPENNET II for selecting the candidates into this course. Application forms and prospectus of the course can be downloaded from www.ignou.ac.in. Downloaded forms should be sent along with a DD for Rs. 550 drawn in favour of IGNOU and payable at New Delhi. The Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Programme commences from January of every year.

Eligibility: Applicants should have passed in 10+2 with three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM). All the candidates need minimum of two years experience in the profession and they should be in the service at the time of admission. Male nurses and nurses who do not have midwifery in the GNM course should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months. OR candidates with 10th class (Matriculation) and three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) along with a minimum of 5 years experience in the profession are also eligible.

Application forms are also available at designated Regional Centers. Last date for the submission of completed applications is 15th July 2012. The Entrance Exam (OPENNET - II) will be held on 19th August 2012. Filled in forms should be sent along with relevant enclosures to The Registrar, Student Evaluation Division (SED), Block No. 12, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi - 110068.
