Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB Delhi) announced notification for admission to Ph.D. Program for the academic year 2011-12. The Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR-IGIB) invite applications from brilliant candidates from varied backgrounds with strong motivation and good academic credentials to pursue research in front line areas of modern biology leading to a Ph.D. degree in the broad interdisciplinary areas of Biological and Chemical Sciences, Molecular Medicine and Disease Genomics, Environmental Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have Masters’ degree with first class or equivalent grade in any branch of chemical sciences/ life sciences / mathematics/ physical sciences/ biotechnology/ statistics/ computer science or allied subjects. Final year candidates also can apply. Candidates with MBBS degree may also apply. M.Sc. candidates must hold any of these fellowships: CSIR-UGC (JRF)/ DBT (JRF) /ICMR-JRF /DST/ NSPIRE as on August 8th, 2011. Age limit is 28 years as on 30-05-2011.

Selection will be based on written aptitude test of two hour duration. This will be conducted on 26-06-2011 at any of these centers, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata or Bangalore. Those qualified in written test will have to appear for interviews and discussion at IGIB. The final result will be declared on 21-07-2011 on the website.
