DBT-BCIL Biotech Industrial Training Program 2011-2012

Here is a good opportunity for the Biotechnology candidates to start a career in Biotechnology filed through attending for a industry oriented training program. Department of Biotechnology (DBT) has formed an organisation called Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India to offer an innovative Biotech Industrial Training Programme (BITP) for the students of Biotechnology and allied sciences. The BCIL- BITP notification 2011-12 has been released. Candidates who completed the six months BITP training may get preference in placements by the Biotech industries. Selected candidates will get a stipend of Rs. 8000 per month during the training period. Following are details of eligibility requirements, selection and application procedure:

Eligibility and Qualifications: Candidates should have qualified in any one of the following academic examinations / courses during 2010 or 2011. They should have B.E. / B.Tech./ M.Tech. / M.E./ M.Sc./ M.V.Sc. in any of the subjects mentioned here. These are Biotechnology / Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Industrial Biotechnology/ Food Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology/ Medical Biotechnology/ Neurosciences / Bio Process Technology / Pharmaceutical Biotechnology / Marine Biotechnology / Agricultural Biotechnology / Molecular and Human Genetics/ Environmental Biotechnology / Animal Biotechnology/ Plant Biotechnology.

Applicants should have secured minimum 60 percent marks in any of the above qualifying examination. Selection of the candidates will be based on procedure followed by BCIL. Candidates with recommendation letters from biotech industries will get preference. They can submit the recommendation letters during interviews. Interested candidates can apply online.   1. i have appeared fro bitp online screening exam.i got the status as pass.But what is the minimum mark to clear that exam.
