The CBSE is granting merit cum single girl child scholarships for the year 2014-15. The notification has been released and girl students with minimum 60 percent in CBSE Class X examination and those continuing their education further can apply for the scholarships.
Amount of scholarship is Rs. 500 per month. Duration of the scholarship is two years. The scholarship amount will be paid through DD / ECS to the beneficiaries.
The selection of the students for the scholarship will be done based on the merit in CBSE Class X examination. All Single Girl students are eligible to apply.
Interested candidates can apply online only through the website cbse.nic.in . Online registrations will be closed on 15th September 2014. Last date for the receipt of copy of online applications is 30th September 2014.
