CSIR-UGC NET Exam is conducted by CSIR for Science Stream twice a year in June and December for award of Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Lectureship. CSIR- NET Exam for Science Stream is conducted by CSIR in the area of Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.

CSIR – NET December 2015 Notification

It is a single paper consist of multiple choice questions. The question paper will consist of three parts such as Part – A (which should be common to all the subjects), Part B and C. Duration of examination is 3 hours. The test paper of each subject shall carry a maximum of 200 marks. The model questions may be viewed below.

CSIR-NET Model Questions

Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has announced admission notification for the session January – May 2015. The institute is offering MS and Ph.D programmes. IITM is known for good research facilities and integrated programmes in various disciplines.

1) Ph.D: The program is offered in regular and direct mode. Candidates with B.Tech / BE can join the Ph.D. directly after Bachelors Degree.

External and part time Ph.D. Programs also available for teachers and researchers. Candidates those interested in multi disciplinary research can also pursue inter – disciplinary Ph.D. rogram.

2) Dual M.Tech / MS – Ph.D.: These programs leads to MS / M.Tech by Research and candidates can get two degrees after the completion of the program.

Departments offering above prorammes are Aerospace, Applied Mechanics, Chemistry, Chemical, Biotechnology, Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Design, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, Management Studies, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Ocean and Physics.
