The application process for CAT 2012 (Common Admission Test) will commence from 30th July 2012. IIM Kozhikode is the organizing institute for CAT 2012. Applications will be on sale from 30th July 2012 to 17th September 2012. Candidates can register their names will 19th September 2012. CAT 2012 results will be released on 9th January 2013. Apart from CAT, there are several other MBA entrance examinations in India, which offer admissions in B-SChools across the country.
CAT 2012 will be an online examination for admission to Management programmes in IIMs (Indian Institutes of Management). Several reputed Government and Private Business Schools also consider CAT scores for short listing them for further admission process (Group Discussion and Interview). CAT exam pattern has been changed from 2011-2012.
CAT 2012 Exam Scheme: CAT 2012 Online examinations will commence from 11th October 2012 and will end on 6th November 2012. There will be two sections in the CAT 2012 Examination. Each section will consist of 30 questions and duration of the exam is 70 minutes for each section. The two sections are 1. Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation 2. Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning. Candidates have to answer questions from Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation first and later questions will be presented from Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning section.
