Aliah University, Kolkata has announced notification for admission into Ph.D. programme in various departments for the academic year 2012 – 13. Ph.D. programmes are offered in the departments of Arabic, English, Geography, History, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering.
Eligibility : Applicants should have Post Graduation in relevant discipline with minimum 55 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute or a Graduation in Engineering / Technology in related subject with minimum 75 percent marks from a recognized University / Institute. Candidates who have qualified in NET, GATE, SET, SLET, UGC (JRF), CSIR (JRF), or M.Tech. / M.E. / M.Phil. may appear for Interview. There will be no admission test for those candidates.
Filled in application form along with attested copies of certificates in support of age, qualification and experience and DD for Rs. 500 drawn in favour of The Registrar, Aliah University and payable at Kolkata should be sent to the Office of the Registrar, Aliah University, Salt Lake Campus, DN – 41, Sector – V, Salt Lake, Kolkata – 700 091. Last date for the receipt of completed application form is 5th October, 2012. Admission Test and Interview will be held on 1st November, 2012. Date of Admission to Ph.D. programme is 12th – 16th November, 2012.
