AIC Australian Studies and Media Fellowships 2012

The Australia - India Council (AIC) is inviting application from enthusiastic and eligible candidates for two fellowship programmes, Young Media Fellowships and Australian Studies Fellowships. The Young Media Fellowships Programme is aimed at providing career development opportunities in Australia for promising young Indian journalists from print and television media. The AIC will award a total of three Fellowships in 2012, which will each provide a financial grant of AUD 7000.

Receipients of Young Media Fellowships will spend three to four weeks in Australia researching and writing stories for publication or broadcast in India. The Australian Studies Fellowship is targeted at Indian Scholars of Australian Studies to undertake research in Australia. Applicants must be employed as academic staff or be undertaking research degrees from a recognised university in India.

Details of application procedure for Young Media Fellowships and Australian Studies Fellowships can be obtained from the official website at www.dfat.gov.au . Last date for the submission of filled in applications along with relevant enclosures is 30 April 2012.
