National Physical Laboratory (NPL), New Delhi has issued notification for admission to Ph.D program in the discipline of Physical and related Sciences. NPL is functioning under the aegis of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and offer excellent research facilities in the areas of Physical Sciences. NPL is inviting applications from meritorious M.Sc. / M.Tech passed students for admission to Ph.D. (Science) programme in Physical Sciences. The programme is offered under Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) Scheme for the August 2012 session.
Eligibility: Applicants must have Masters degree with 60 per cent marks or equivalent in Physical / Chemical / Engineering Sciences. They should have a valid National Level Fellowship like JRF / SRF of various funding agencies, UGC, CSIR, or INSPIRE or other equivalent fellowship. There are various other CSIR labs offering Ph.D programmes under AcSIR Innovation Scheme.
Application Procedure: Interested candidates can apply online through the centralized admission website www.acsir.res.in by selecting CSIR-NPL as your preferred laboratory. The last date for submission of online applications is May 18th , 2012.
